New milestone: 1.5GW of wind capacity now using ETSI’s forecasting services

We’re excited to share a new milestone for ETSI: our forecasting service now supports 1.5 gigawatts (GW) of wind farm capacity across Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM).

As Australia’s energy system transitions, accurate and secure wind forecasting is becoming increasingly vital. By combining turbine-level data, advanced machine learning techniques, and deep domain expertise, ETSI helps both asset operators and the market operator manage uncertainty and keep the system secure.

This achievement reflects the growing trust placed in ETSI by wind farm operators across the NEM, and we’re proud to be contributing to more efficient dispatch, reduced system costs, and greater reliability as renewable penetration continues to rise.
