Energy Transition Specialists International (ETSI) is an Australian-based firm specialising in advanced Variable Renewable Energy (VRE) forecasting solutions, market design, and technical power system advice

ETSI was founded in April 2022 by a small team of former power system operators who have extensive experience in integrating VRE into large power systems. The company’s founders were involved in the technical design and development of Australia’s first central wind forecasting model for the National Electricity Market (NEM) in 2009, known as the Australian Wind Energy Forecasting System (AWEFS).

Leadership

  • Anthony Hill

    Anthony is an Analyst and Software Engineer with 14 years of experience at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), where he led the development of several key forecasting systems. Prior to this, he worked within the Victorian Gas Market.

    He brings extensive expertise in operational forecasting systems and practices, with a track record as both a strategic leader and hands-on technical implementer.

  • Jack Fox

    Jack is a Software Engineer with over 13 years of experience at the AEMO, where he managed technical projects in wind and demand forecasting.

    He specialises in designing and building advanced computer models, applying machine learning and data science techniques to improve accuracy and reliability in power system operations.

  • Andrew Stedwell

    Andrew is a FCPA-qualified accountant and director who has extensive experience working as a CFO with several ASX-listed firms where he led organisations with revenues exceeding $500M.

    He provides commercial, operational, and strategic oversight to the company.
